Gastronomic delights

Imagine a place where in one week you could eat the most delicious food from around the world. Freshly prepared noodles one evening, refined truffle fries sprinkled with Parmesan the next, and a piece of Angus beef that will make your mouth drop open.  Well, we have good news, because you'll find this place aboard the Norwegian Jewel. The cruise ship has more than 15 places to eat and drink. Besides the classics like Tsar's Palace and Azura, there are the fantastic specialty restaurants that you should definitely try. Listing them all would distract us too much, but here is a little ‘taste’ in advance.  There's Cagney's Steakhouse: This is a traditional steakhouse that serves premium cuts of Angus beef  and does so in an upscale atmosphere. You can also order homemade jumbo-lump crab cakes and the aforementioned truffle fries. Or there's Le Bistro: This is a French restaurant oozing with romance and elegance.  Just like sitting on le pont d'amour enjoying dishes such as escargots, foie gras, duck a l'orange and crème brûlée. No shortage of activities

The Norwegian Jewel is a cruise ship that offers a variety of activities for its guests, whether they are looking for relaxation, entertainment or adventure. You get what you want and what you ask for.  If you're all about crazy spectacles like Las Vegas with lots of glitz and glamour  or if you're more into the wonderful shows of Broadway… the Stardust Theater has several live shows scheduled every night that will delight both Broadway and Las Vegas fans. You will see performances by acrobats, comedians, magicians and singers. One of the highlights is Le Cirque Bijou, a stunning spectacle of aerial acts and dance numbers. If you prefer to be the acrobat or the action enthusiast yourself, you can do so aboard the Jewel. You can participate in fitness classes, play basketball, volleyball, play tennis on the outdoor court or challenge yourself on the climbing wall. And the water rats…they can swim in one of the pools, relax in the hot tubs or slide down the water slide. Even creatives can roll up their sleeves and learn a little more thanks to the various arts and crafts classes where you can learn how to make origami, jewelry, scrapbooks and more. 

Freestyle Cruising, Free at Sea and The Haven

When we put the words Norwegian Cruise Line in our mouths, some typical Norwegian terms immediately come up and are inextricably linked to the cruise company: Freestyle Cruising, Free at Sea and The Haven.  The Freestyle Cruising concept is one of the reasons many choose NCL. After all, this concept guarantees you complete freedom when it comes to food. You eat whenever, wherever and with whomever you want, and even in terms of clothing, you just put on whatever you feel like.

Free at Sea is a promotion from Norwegian Cruise Line offered regularly for trips of three nights or longer. Passengers can take advantage of free extras such as a beverage package, specialty restaurants, Wi-Fi and more.  Finally, The Haven is an exclusive area of the cruise ship that only guests with a special key card can access. It is a place where you will find only suites. The Haven allows passengers to enjoy a private bar and lounge, private restaurant, secluded sundeck and quiet courtyard, without leaving the suite complex. In addition, this place also has its own swimming pool, hot tub and concierge and butler service.
