The food, restaurants and beverage options aboard the Norwegian Escape are one of the highlights of the cruise experience on this beautiful cruise ship. What you should definitely try, in addition to the à volonté buffet restaurants, are one or more of the specialty restaurants such as the Teppanyaki, where you can see with your own eyes how Asian chefs sizzle and simmer your food on the red-hot iron plates or the Food Republic, where you can order via an iPad and sample delicious tapas from around the world. There is no arguing about tastes and smells, but on the Norwegian Escape, there is always something you like. 

By the way, Norwegian applies the concept of Freestyle Cruising, which means you can enjoy the ultimate freedom, including at the restaurants aboard the ship.  You choose who you eat with, where you eat and when. And your clothing? You decide on that, too.

A world full of positive energy and entertainment

The shows on the cruise ship Norwegian Escape are undoubtedly one of the highlights of your trip. Just book in advance through your MyNCL account or on board, and from then on, the evenings will be full of wonder as you enjoy Broadway productions, live concerts, flying and stunt work and mysterious magic. These include swinging musicals that take you back to 1920s Harlem and the legendary Cotton Club. With top-notch singing and dancing and beautiful costumes and sets.  Or how about nostalgic shows that take you back to your childhood, featuring classic films from the 1980s such as The Breakfast Club, Pretty in Pink, Sixteen Candles, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Weird Science and many more. A nice mix of humor, romance and drama.  Or one of our personal favorites; a duel fought at the piano where you'll step on a musical journey  through the 70s, 80s, 90s and the Nillies while singing and swinging. 

If you were to fly over the cruise ship with a drone, you would immediately see that the Escape's upper deck looks something like an amusement park. Large swimming pools flanked by 2 gigantic slides, a ropes course built around an immense sports field, LED screens and even a somewhat hidden bowling and bocce court.  Fun for the kids, but do you have anything fun for the parents? Of course; that’s why there is the Spice H2O. This spot is reserved specifically for adults during the day.  A place of peace and quiet that includes a relaxing water cave where the trickling water balances your body and mind. By the way, this place also opens its doors to children in the evening, turning into the vibrant heart  of the cruise ship with a late night movie on the big screen. Finally, as an adult, you can also go to the Mandara Spa or settle yourself in one of the seats on the Observation Lounge to enjoy the spectacular views.
