There are few roads in Greenland; only in Nuuk is it possible to hit the road. If you want to visit other places or go deeper into the interior, go by boat, plane, helicopter or snowmobile. 
Despite this, it is very cold in Greenland. Temperatures often rise above zero only in the month of July. So always bring warm clothes in your suitcase.
During these months, some of the great icebergs and endless glaciers make room for a snow-free area. Then you see Greenland in a very different way, the reindeer grazing on the grass and the mountain peaks having no white cover.
